American actor and rapper Earl Simmons was born December 18 1970 and passed away April 9 2021. He began rapping in the beginning of the 1990s. He released his debut album It's dark and Hell Is Hot in 1998 to both critical acclaim and commercial success. It sold 251,000 copies within the first week of its release. [5][6] DMX released his best-selling album, ... And Then There was X, in 1999, and included the smash single "Party Up (Up in Here)". The 2003 singles "Where the Hood At?" Commercially and his singles from 2003 "Where the Hood is at?" and "X Gon"Give It to Ya" were also extremely popular. The artist was the first in history to have an album that debuted at No.1 on the Billboard 200 charts five times consecutively. [7] DMX has sold over 74 million albums in the world. 8 DMX has been featured in movies such as Belly Romeo Must Die (with Exit Wounds), Belly, Romeo Must Die (with Belly), Cradle 2 the Grave (with Cradle 2 the Grave) and Last Hour. In 2006, he was a star in the reality series DMX: Soul of a Man that was broadcast by the BET cable television network Never Die Alone. He published E.A.R.L., his memoirs in 2003. After spending time in prison, he started writing lyrics of his own and performed in the recreation center in town for kids older than he was. While in prison , he was convicted of carjacking. it was his favorite time to spend his time writing lyrics. He also began to rap with K.Solo. DMX died in 2021 after a cocaine-induced heart attack.
